Q. How long will the bathtub last?

A. The durability of a bathtub refinished by JJ Refinishing is the same as a new bathtub. IF maintained correctly it should last you for many years to come.

Q. How do I clean the refinished bathtub?

A. Just as a new bathtub any abrasive cleaners will dull the finish. A refinished bathtub has a special product in it to repel dirt and grime. Thus, the cleaning process is even easier. You should use mild non abrasive cleaners to maintain its shine.

Q. Will my bathtub look painted?

A. No, No, No. The bathtub is not painted it is refinished with a special high tech acrylic. The pores of the tub are opened prior to the finish. Hence, the acrylic finish is absorbed in the tub giving a shine and feel like new.

Q. What colors does JJ Refinishing offer?

A. There are over 200 colors to choose from for the bathtub and the tiles and over 13 for the counter tops.

Q. What is the difference between a bathtub liner and a refinishing?

A. A bathtub liner can cost over $2000 and is rectangle in nature taking away the original look of the bathtub, essentially covering up the bathtub and tiles. With the refinishing process the caulking is removed and the bathtub and tiles are brought back to life for a minimal cost that makes them look like new not covered up.

Q. What will happen with the grout of my tiles?

A. The loose grout is removed and if new grout is needed it is then replaced. The refinishing process covers then covers over the grout to ensure a moist free atmosphere for years to come.
